Frequently asked questions
What should I wear?
We require closed-toe shoes... otherwise we recommend wearing comfortable clothes, because it's easier to be awesome when you're comfortable!
Are there age restrictions?
Yes, we recommend all particpants be somewhere between 10 and 110 years of age. However, we desire to be a family-friendly place, so If you think your 8 year-old is mature enough to throw an axe, we'll let them try! For those bringing children, parental discretion should be exercised and parental supervision is required. All particpants under 18 will require an adult present. For groups with multiple children 13 and under, we recommend one adult to every 3 children.
Is axe throwing safe... really?
Don't let the liability waiver scare you... our lawyers make us do that! Of course there is an inherent risk when axes are flying but we can assure you that we have gone to great lengths to make sure that this is a safe activity for everyone. We have aligned our facility with the World Axe Throwing League and in doing so, our facility stands up to the highest levels of safety requirements. Our coaches will ensure that all participants are taught the safest way to throw an axe and following our rules will guide everyone to have a safe and enjoyable experience.
Can I bring my own food and drinks?
Food = Yes
How much does it cost?
Check out our "Pricing" page for more info but our standard reservation rate is $35/preson for 90 minutes. We also offer a $25/person walk-in rate for 60 minutes... but space is limited, we highly recommend making a reservation. Please contact us for best pricing for your party or event.
Do you have leagues?
We do! Please see our "Leagues" page for more information or to fill out the interest form. We are affiliated with the WATL (World Axe Throwing League) as seen on ESPN. Our league participants will have the opportunity to compete against other "axe-perts" all over the world!
Where are you located?
We are located in the amazing, newly renovated Eastgate Plaza in East Alton, IL on Route 3. We are right next to the food court.
What are your hours?
Thursday: 5:00pm-10:00pm
How hard is it to throw an axe?
Good question! Our throwing coaches will teach you the proper methods and you will be hitting bulls-eyes in no time! It's actually very easy once you learn the proper technique.
Can I book a large group outing?
YES! We specialize in group events.
Can I bring my own axe(s)?
At this time we do not allow any outside axes thrown in our facility. The exception to this will be for league play and very strict guidelines will be in place.
